Hair origin

When the idea of Her hair extensions was born, it was extremely crucial for our founder, Polina, to supply true Slavic hair extensions. Being in the hair extensions industry for 4 years, it was obvious that most of the hair suppliers lie about where the hair is actually coming from.

Our hair is sourced from local hair collectors in Russia and Ukraine. All hair that has been collected goes through very strict quality control. After, some hair is being sent to be bonded- that is our Virgin Slavic hair. That hair has never been bleached, dyed or toned. Virgin Slavic hair extensions are known for its outstanding quality and fine hair strands. This hair usually comes in shades 1b-6.

For lighter shades, donor Slaivic hair are then sent for a bleaching process. The bleaching process varies a lot from bleaching processes in Asia. We thrive to preserve the quality of the hair even after the bleach. That's why this process can take up to 10 days. However with this slow and meticulous process, we are able to get platinum blonde hair that are not shedding and stay soft and silky.

Last step is encapsulation or bonding. All of our k-tips are hand made ensuring that each k-tip is properly penetrated with our gel Italian keratin. Here is a short video from one of our hair collectors, that shows the entire process of preparing the hair before it is shipped to us in California.
